The Toronto Blue Jays did not include Ernie Clement in their lineup for Monday's game against the Texas Rangers.
Clement will take a seat Monday while Bo Bichette starts at shortstop and Brandon Belt (illness) returns to the lineup at designated hitter and bats fourth.
Clement has turned his 47 plate appearances into a strong .378 batting average so far this season.
