Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Joey Wiemer (mouth) will start in center field and hit ninth in Monday's series opener against left-hander Jesus Luzardo and the Miami Marlins.
Wiemer suffered a laceration in his mouth on a collision during Sunday's game against the New York Yankees, but he's good to go a day later. Sal Frelick will shift to right field and hit eighth versus the Marlins' southpaw. Mark Canha will serve as the designated hitter and leadoff batter while William Contreras starts at catcher over Victor Caratini.
numberFire’s models project Wiemer ($2,200) for 6.9 FanDuel points on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Brewers' implied total is 3.72 and the game total is a pitcher-friendly 7.0. Luzardo has a 3.59 ERA (3.92 xERA) and 1.20 WHIP this season, with a strong 28.2% strikeout rate and solid 7.0% walk rate.
