Milwaukee Brewers infielder Josh Donaldson will start on third base and bat fifth in Monday's series opener against left-hander Jesus Luzardo and the Miami Marlins.
The Brewers selected Donaldson's contract from Triple-A Nashville on Monday and transferred reliever J.C. Mejia (shoulder) from the 15-day to 60-day injured list to make room on the 40-man roster. Andruw Monasterio will shift to second base in place of a resting Brice Turang on Monday. Donaldson hit .142 with 10 home runs in 120 plate appearances for the New York Yankees this season.
