New York Mets infielder Brett Baty (groin) is not in the lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Merrill Kelly and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Baty is undergoing imaging scans on Thursday after he exited Wednesday's game early due to lingering left groin soreness. Mark Vientos will cover the hot corner while Dan Vogelbach starts at designated hitter and bats seventh.
numberFire’s models project Vientos ($2,300) for 6.5 FanDuel points on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets' implied total is 3.55, third-lowest on the board today, and the game total is a deflated 7.0. Kelly has a 3.16 ERA and 4.08 xERA this season, with a middling 40.2% hard-hit rate, solid 26.4% strikeout rate, and substandard 9.1% walk rate.
