Cleveland Guardians infielder Tyler Freeman is not in the lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Brady Singer and the Kansas City Royals.
Freeman started on third base and went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's series finale against the Texas Rangers. Jose Ramirez will man the hot corner Monday afternoon while Josh Naylor serves as the designated hitter. Kole Calhoun will start on first base and bat cleanup for Cleveland.
numberFire’s models project Calhoun ($7,000) for 9.6 FanDuel points on the single-game slate Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Guardians have an inviting implied total (4.91) and the game total is a batter-friendly 9.5. Singer has a 5.51 ERA and 4.94 xERA (bottom 21st percentile of league) this season, with a 48.1% hard-hit rate (bottom 2nd), 19.1% strikeout rate (bottom 21st), and 6.9% walk rate (top 73rd).
