St. Louis Cardinals outfielder/ first baseman Alec Burleson (thumb) was placed on the 10-day injured list.
Burleson's season is over after he suffered a fractured thumb last night. Expect Luken Baker to see more at-bats down the stretch.
Per Baseball Savant on 34 batted balls this season, Baker has produced a 8.8% barrel rate and a .248 expected average.
