The Pittsburgh Pirates did not include Henry Davis in their lineup for Thursday's game against the Chicago Cubs.
Davis will catch a breather Thursday while the Pirates bring in Ji-Hwan Bae off the bench. Bae will bat ninth and play second base while Connor Joe takes Davis' spot at designated hitter.
Davis' rookie season has had its ups and downs. He is batting .207 on the year, with 5 home runs, 24 runs, 20 RBI, and 3 stolen bases across 225 plate appearances.
