Cleveland Guardians outfielder Will Brennan will start in right field and bat seventh in Thursday's series opener against right-hander Grayson Rodriguez and the Baltimore Orioles.
Brennan started in left field and batted leadoff in place of Steven Kwan in Wednesday's series finale against the Kansas City Royals. Kwan is back in action Thursday, so Brennan is returning to the other corner and the seven-hole. Myles Straw is out of the Guardians' lineup for the series opener.
numberFire’s models project Brennan ($2,500) for 7.9 FanDuel points on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Guardians' implied total is a deflated 3.62 and the game total is 8.0. Rodriguez has a middling 4.53 ERA and 4.38 xERA in his first MLB season, with a 24.8% strikeout rate (top 62nd percentile) and mediocre 8.3% walk rate. The rookie's 44.6% hard-hit rate is in the bottom 13th percentile among qualified pitchers.
