The Boston Red Sox did not list Alex Verdugo as a starter for Sunday's game against the Chicago White Sox.
Verdugo will take a seat Sunday while the Red Sox have Adam Duvall cover right field and bats fifth against the White Sox.
Verdugo has made 587 plate appearances this year, resulting in 13 home runs, 80 runs, 54 RBI, 4 stolen bases, a .266 batting average and a .753 OPS.
