Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. has been scratched from Tuesday's game against the Chicago White Sox.
Gurriel is a late scratch from Tuesday's lineup and will be replaced by Jake McCarthy. McCarthy will start in right field and bat seventh versus right-hander Luis Patino and Chicago.
McCarthy is batting 0.243 this season with 2 home runs and 16 RBI in 304 plate appearances.
