The Philadelphia Phillies will give Bryson Stott Thursday evening off as they take on the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Stott will get a rest day Thursday as the Phillies prepare to take on Pittsburgh. Edmundo Sosa will cover second base and Trea Turner will return to the lineup at shortstop.
Stott was a major contributor to the Phillies' success in his second season with the team, putting up 15 homers, 77 runs, 61 RBI, 31 stolen bases, and a .279 batting average over 631 plate appearances.
