New York Yankees infielder Anthony Volpe is sitting Saturday in the team's game against the Kansas City Royals.
Volpe is being replaced at shortstop by Oswald Peraza versus Royals starter Steven Cruz.
In 595 plate appearances this season, Volpe has a .207 batting average with a .666 OPS, 21 home runs, 62 runs, 60 RBI and 24 stolen bases.
