The Philadelphia Phillies did not list Trea Turner (elbow) in their lineup for Sunday's game against the New York Mets.
Turner will sit out the Phillies' remaining regular season games while he focuses on getting healthy for the playoffs. Bryson Stott will rejoin the lineup in his absence, batting third and playing second base.
Turner's first year with the Phillies started very slowly, but the veteran turned things around over the summer. Over 691 total plate appearances, Turner launched 26 homers with 102 runs, 76 RBI, 30 stolen bases, and a .266 batting average.
