The New York Yankees will not start Gleyber Torres in Sunday's season finale against the Kansas City Royals.
Torres will get a head start on the offseason Sunday, moving to the bench while Anthony Volpe starts at shortstop and bats second.
Torres will finish the year with 25 homers, 90 runs, 68 RBI, 13 stolen bases, a .273 average and a .800 OPS over 672 plate appearances.
