Tampa Bay Rays infielder Curtis Mead will start on second base and bat fifth in Game 1 of the Wild Card Series against left-hander Jordan Montgomery and the Texas Rangers.
Mead will make his postseason debut after securing a spot on the roster. Taylor Walls will start at shortstop and Junior Caminero will be available off the Rays' bench.
