Atlanta Braves pitcher Chris Sale (shoulder) said he expects to "compete to the highest level" during the 2024 season.
Sale seems to be healthy heading into the upcoming season after battling with a shocking list of injuries over recent seasons. The Braves acquired Sale from the Red Sox in a deal that sent infielder Vaughn Grissom over to Boston.
Sale has been limited to 149.6 innings since 2020, just barely more than the 147.1 he pitched in the 2019 season. He has thrown to a 3.93 ERA in those post-2019 seasons with a 1.185 OPS and a 10.8 K/9 rate.
