The Minnesota Twins have acquired outfielder Manuel Margot from the Los Angeles Dodgers via trade, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
The Twins will add some extra veteran depth in their outfield as they prepare for the 2024 season, adding Margot in a deal that helped clear a roster spot for Los Angeles. The Twins were previously banking on oft-injured outfielder Byron Buxton to handle centerfield for them, so Margot's presence should be welcomed.
Margot's production at the plate slipped last season, with the veteran producing a subpar .686 OPS across 336 plate appearances in the Rays' platoon.
