Cincinnati Reds infielder Matt McLain (shoulder) is expected to be fine, per manager David Bell.
The Reds scratched McLain from Monday's lineup due to left shoulder soreness, but it doesn't sound like there's any concern for Opening Day. The 24-year-old is expected to start at second base and hit near the top of the order this season.
numberFire's models project McLain to record a .262 batting average and .790 OPS this season, with 21 homers, 27 doubles, 68 RBI, 75 runs scored, and 14 steals across 550 plate appearances.
