Miami Marlins pitcher Eury Perez (elbow) will begin the season on the injured list.
Perez has been diagnosed with elbow inflammation and will open the season on the injured list. Surgery was not recommended, which could mean a quicker return for Perez.
In 91.3 innings pitched last season, Perez recorded a 3.15 ERA and 1.13 WHIP with 108 strikeouts and 31 walks.
