Chicago White Sox designated hitter Eloy Jimenez (adductor) is not in the lineup for Monday afternoon's series opener against right-hander Charlie Morton and the Atlanta Braves.
Jimenez was pulled from Sunday's game against the Detroit Tigers after injuring his adductor. He underwent an MRI, but White Sox manager Pedro Grifol said the club is still waiting for the results. Gavin Sheets will start at designated hitter and bat fifth in Monday's opener against the Braves.
numberFire’s models project Sheets for 8.5 FanDuel points on Monday afternoon. Per our MLB Heat Map, the White Sox have the second-worst implied total (3.36) in the majors today.
