The New York Yankees did not list Jon Berti in their lineup for Monday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Berti will move back to the bench Monday with Anthony Volpe (illness) taking back over at shortstop. The veteran figures to rotate into the Yankees' lineup at some point, but has been stymied so far by Volpe's and Oswaldo Cabrera's hot starts.
Our model projects Berti for 394 plate appearances this season, with 5 homers, 50 runs, 35 RBI, 14 stolen bases, and a .285 batting average.
