St. Louis Cardinals catcher Willson Contreras has been scratched Saturday in the team's game against the Miami Marlins.
Contreras has been removed from the lineup just 45 minutes before scheduled first pitch; the reason is not yet known. In the meantime, Alec Burleson is re-entering the lineup, hitting seventh as the designated hitter versus Marlins starter Trevor Rogers.
In 25 plate appearances this season, Contreras has a .211 batting average with a .979 OPS.
