The New York Yankees did not list Oswaldo Cabrera as a starter for Monday's game against the Miami Marlins.
Cabrera will catch a breather on Monday while the Yankees let Jon Berti play third base against his former team. The young infielder has had a hot start to the season and hasn't lost much time to Berti so far.
Cabrera is rocking a .934 OPS through his first 36 plate appearances this season, with 2 homers and 8 RBI to got a with a .333 batting average. He's sitting today, but seems to be their favored option at third this year given how he's playing.
