The San Francisco Giants did not list Tyler Fitzgerald as a starter for Monday's game against the Miami Marlins.
Fitzgerald will take a seat Monday while the Giants go with Nick Ahmed's veteran glove at shortstop.
Fitzgerald is batting an impressive .417 average in his first 13 plate appearances, but has more importantly already stolen 3 bases. He could become a real threat on the base paths if he can find more consistent playing time this season.
