The Arizona Diamondbacks did not list Kevin Newman as a starter for Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants.
Newman will take a seat Sunday while Arizona's Joc Pederson joins the lineup and bats fourth against right-hander Jordan Hicks.
Newman is hitting .192 through 27 plate appearances this season.
