The Minnesota Twins did not list Byron Buxton as a starter for Monday's game against the Chicago White Sox.
The veteran outfielder will catch a breather Monday while the Twins return Max Kepler (knee) from the injured list to the lineup. Kepler will bat fifth and play in left field while Austin Martin covers center for Buxton.
Buxton has had a slow start to the season, with no home runs in his 73 plate appearances. He's hitting .217 so far, but also has a team-high 7 extra base hits. Hopefully the day off helps him settle into the season.
