Chicago Cubs left fielder Kyle Schwarber has been moved down to seventh in the order for Thursday afternoon's home game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
This will be the first time this season that Schwarber has hit any lower than third in the order. It is also the furthest back he has started since October 1, 2015.
The move comes with good reason -- Schwarber has struggled to the tune of a .165/.286/.341 slash with a .279 wOBA through 47 games (206 plate appearances) in 2017.
