Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell is back in the lineup Tuesday versus the Miami Marlins.
Russell has been sitting out every other game as he battles through a season-long slump. After a day off on Monday, the young shortstop returns to the lineup on Tuesday. Javier Baez slides over to play second base while Ben Zobrist will come off the bench against the Marlins.
Russell is hitting slightly better against lefties this season, slashing .233/.389/.372 in 54 plate appearances. He owns a .213 batting average with 3 home runs and 19 RBI overall.
