The New York Yankees have acquired relief pitcher David Robertson from the Chicago White Sox.
Robertson comes over along with Todd Frazier and Tommy Kahnle in Tuesday's seven-player trade. He will likely serve in a setup role with the Yanks.
Robertson has had a solid 2017 season so far, posting a 2.57 SIERA with a 35.6% strikeout rate and 0.96 WHIP through 31 games (33 1/3 innings pitched). numberFire's models project him for a 2.77 ERA, 28.3% strikeout rate and 1.15 WHIP in 26 innings over the remainder of the season.
