The 10 Best Individual NBA Seasons Since 2000
Which players own the best of the best single-season performances in the NBA since 2000?

Chris Paul, 2008-09

nERD: 23.2

Before the dawn of the NBA we've come to know today, there was a team called the New Orleans Hornets. Not the New Orleans Pelicans or the Charlotte Hornets, but the two combined. On that team was a great young player named Chris Paul.

These days, CP3 is still leading the Los Angeles Clippers. Before that, though, he was the one and only franchise player on a struggling, relocated team. In the fourth of his six seasons, Paul averaged 22.8 points, 11 assists, 5.8 rebounds and 2.8 steals across 38.5 minutes and 78 games.

Even before he gained some oh-so-valuable experience, Paul posted the highest PER (30.0), box plus-minus (11.2) and win shares 48 (.292) on the highest assist percentage (54.5%) of his career.
