The 10 Best Individual NBA Seasons Since 2000
Which players own the best of the best single-season performances in the NBA since 2000?

Kevin Durant, 2012-13

nERD: 26.4

Oh, look -- a KD run.

While his friend LeBron was doing work down in South Beach, Durant was having a great season of his own. In fact, I don't think it's a stretch to say that if not for LeBron's killer year, Durant would have won his first MVP a year sooner.

In the best nERD season not to win the coveted award, Durant racked up 28.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game in 81 games. His 1.4 steals, 1.3 blocks and resulting defensive box plus-minus of 1.4 are still the highest of his career through a full season.
