The 10 Best Individual NBA Seasons Since 2000
Which players own the best of the best single-season performances in the NBA since 2000?

LeBron James, 2009-10

nERD: 25.4

Another LeBron appearance, another MVP season. In 2009, it was James' last season with the Cavs before heading off to Miami in free agency. Before being ousted by the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semis, LeBron -- in 39 minutes a game -- accounted for 29.7 points, 8.6 assists and 7.3 rebounds per game.

In 76 games, the 12-time All-Star worked his way into a box plus-minus of 12.5 while assisting on 41.8% of made shots while on the floor -- the best mark of his career thus far. He was a beast in getting into the paint and getting fouled, sporting a career-high 50.6% free throw rate.

Unfortunately, this is probably one of LeBron's most forgettable seasons. His departure from the playoffs and from Cleveland overshadowed the distinction of his on-court performance.
