3 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays for 1/19/17
Carmelo Anthony struggled in a big way on Wednesday, but tonight's matchup against the Wizards offers a nice spot to get back on track.

Ricky Rubio, PG, Minnesota Timberwolves

FanDuel Price: $6,700

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Even on a five-game slate, point guard is pretty loaded.

At the top, we have John Wall and Kyrie Irving in great spots, and Irving could end up being very chalky if Kevin Love ends up sitting out. Eric Bledsoe has been playing phenomenally recently and has a terrific individual matchup against Irving.

Derrick Rose is coming off of a 53.5-FanDuel-point performance and is likely to be a popular value play for the banged up New York Knicks. With Chris Paul out, both Austin Rivers and Raymond Felton should soak up some ownership.

Ricky Rubio has played well recently, but amid all of these options, he isn't likely to be a lot of radars.

Why You Should Use Him:

Rubio is coming off of a 21-point, 14-assist game against the San Antonio Spurs and now has four double-doubles in his last five games. During that five-game stretch, he's averaged 41.2 FanDuel points in 35.2 minutes.

He will look to extend that hot stretch against the backup guards of the Los Angeles Clippers. This matchup looks tough on paper due to the defense of Chris Paul, who ranks first among point guards in real defensive plus/minus. However, with Paul out, Rubio will spend a lot of time being defended by Austin Rivers, who ranks 72nd among 86 qualified point guards in real defensive plus/minus.

Given his recent workload and performance, Rubio is in play in all formats at this price. The possibility of low ownership is just an added bonus.
