Daily Fantasy Basketball Game Scripts to Target on 1/25/17
The matchup between the Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets has the highest over/under on the slate, putting James Harden in a great spot.

Hassan Whiteside, C, Miami Heat

FanDuel Price: $9,200

Recently, Hassan Whiteside hasn't been the elite force we've grown accustomed to over the past two seasons. Tonight's matchup with the Brooklyn Nets provides an excellent opportunity for a get-right game, though.

On the season, no team has allowed more FanDuel points per game to opposing centers than the Nets, who also rank 26th in rebounding rate and have had more shots blocked than any team in the NBA. Whiteside is elite in both categories, ranking first in rebounds per game (14.2) and fourth in blocks (2.1).

This isn't just a matchup that Whiteside should dominate, but one that the Heat as a whole should control. Vegas agrees with that assessment, projecting the Heat for 108.75 points, which is roughly 10 points higher than their season scoring average. That is easily the largest implied increase in scoring on the slate.

According to the RotoViz Game Splits App, Whiteside has dominated in games with similar game scripts to this over the past two seasons. When Miami has had an implied team total of at least 108.3 points, Whiteside has averaged 40.22 FanDuel points, as opposed to 36.4 in all other games. He's averaged 51.8 FanDuel points in the three only games with an over/under of 213.5 points over the past two seasons, but for a larger sample size, let's examine games with at least a 210-point over/under. In such games, Whiteside has averaged 42.5 FanDuel points.
