On Wednesday night, Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors hosted the Charlotte Hornets, Curry's hometown team. And, in keeping with the theme of Steph's previous returns to Charlotte, Curry was absolutely awesome.
In Golden State's 126-111 win, Curry scored 39 points in just 30 minutes of play. In case you're not doing the math, that's 1.3 points a minute. There's no wondering how he was so efficient, as Curry made 14 of 20 attempts from the floor and 11 of 15 from three. His true shooting of 97.5% led to an offensive rating of 173.6 for the game.
Curry's offensive onslaught amounted to a 65.25 nERD, which nearly doubled Klay Thompson, the next-closest nERD scorer. Turns out, Curry flat out owns his old man's old squad.
