3 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays for 2/8/17
Dennis Schroder has struggled with inconsistency this season, but everything points to a big game tonight against the Denver Nuggets. Who else is likely to fly under the radar?

Dennis Schroder, PG, Atlanta Hawks

FanDuel Price: $6,200

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

As mentioned with Teague, point guard is deep today, which likely will make daily fantasy players not feel the need to take a chance on Dennis Schroder, who has been maddeningly inconsistent. Three of his past six games have went for under 15 FanDuel points, with games of 38.8 and 44.3 thrown in there to further infuriate those who were burned by him on the low-scoring nights.

Why You Should Use Him:

If it made you sick to read about Teague's inconsistencies, the man that has replaced him as the starting point guard for the Atlanta Hawks has been even more frustrating. His price has just fallen too far to account for his upside, though.

At his current price, he has hit at least 5x value 51 percent of the time this season, which is the highest of any point guard that isn't minimum priced. According to our ceiling/floor tool, no point guard with a salary above $6,000 has a higher ceiling per dollar than Schroder.

Schroder's opponents tonight, the Denver Nuggets, have done a great job of helping opposing point guards realize their ceilings, allowing the second-most FanDuel points per game to the position. Denver may have Emmanuel Mudiay back for this one, who ranks 75th among point guards in DRPM, but if he is forced to sit again, Jameer Nelson will continue to admirably fill his shoes as a defensive liability.

Nelson ranks 54th among point guards in DRPM and has even allowed below average point guards to take advantage of him in his stint in the starting lineup. The likes of Yogi Ferrell, Tony Parker, and Matthew Dellavedova have averaged 27.2 FanDuel points against Nelson in Denver's past three games.

Schroder also has a beautiful game script in his favor, as the Hawks have the second-highest implied team total (112.25 points) on the slate with the highest over/under (220 points). Per the RotoViz Game Splits App, Schroder has greatly benefited from positive game scripts this season, averaging 35.8 FanDuel points in games with an implied team total of 110 or higher. With an over/under above 215, Schroder has averaged 36.2 FanDuel points.

The potential for a complete dud is always there when you roster Schroder. However, he has shown the ability to crush value at his price tag, and he has one of the best matchups on the board. He is an excellent salary-saving option in tournaments tonight.
