The 15 Best Single-Game NBA Regular Season Performances Since 1983
Which NBA player has put together the most dominant performance in a single game over the past 34 years?

8. Jimmy Butler, 1/2/2017

In many ways, Jimmy Butler can't measure up with the G.O.A.T. -- and that's understandable. However, Butler does edge (at least a younger) Jordan here.

In a January contest against the Charlotte Hornets at the United Center, Butler dropped 52 points on only 15 field goals and 24 field goal attempts. He utilized the free throw line to compensate for the lack of volume from the field, tallying 21 free throw makes on the game. For his efforts, he earned a true shooting of 77.2% and an offensive rating of 163.

As great as Butler was at getting to the line, he wasn't all about getting his buckets. He assisted on 6 other field goals and ripped down 12 total rebounds at the same time. His 51.5 Game Score helped lead the Bulls to a 118-111 victory.
