3 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays for 3/8/17
A nagging knee injury has held Carmelo Anthony down recently, but tonight's matchup with the Bucks might be just what he needs to bounce back.

Hassan Whiteside, C, Miami Heat

FanDuel Price: $8,500

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Hassan Whiteside has been dealing with an illness and hasn't looked like his usual self over the past few games. With a deep center player pool and a matchup that doesn't jump off the page, it isn't likely that daily fantasy players feel the need to pay up for him.

Why You Should Use Him:

It's been nearly a week since Whiteside's illness initially popped up on the injury report, so he should be good to go for tonight's matchup with the Charlotte Hornets.

Charlotte has struggled against opposing posts this season, allowing the eighth-most FanDuel points to opposing centers. While their 14th-ranked rebounding rate is middle of the pack, they are one of the worst teams in the league at crashing the offensive glass -- posting the 27th-ranked offensive rebounding rate.

That is good news for Whiteside, who leads the league with 10.5 defensive rebounds per game.

Charlotte also has been blocked more than any other team this season. Whiteside's 2.03 blocks per game ranks fourth in the league, and if Charlotte attacks the rim as frequently as they usually do, he could pile up the rejections.

Given his recent struggles, it is tough to justify paying up for him in cash games on a slate with so many other good options. However, he has huge upside in this matchup and is an exciting tournament option.
