FanDuel Price: $5,900
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Shooting guard is absolutely loaded tonight, which should keep Tim Hardaway Jr.'s ownership low despite his strong recent play. James Harden, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, Klay Thompson, and C.J. McCollum all are in good spots and should deflect a lot of ownership from Atlanta's shooting guard.
With all the appealing options, most daily fantasy players will likely be more inclined to roster the likes of Howard, Schroder, and Taurean Prince if searching for value among the banged-up Atlanta Hawks roster.
Why You Should Use Him:
The Hawks have seen big boosts across the board with Paul Millsap, Kent Bazemore, and Thabo Sefolosha sidelined, and Hardaway has not been exempt from it -- he's averaged 23.3 points and 33.5 FanDuel points in 38.3 minutes over the past three games. With all three players mentioned earlier already ruled out for tonight's contest against the Phoenix Suns, don't expect Hardaway to slow down.
In addition to an expanded role, Hardaway should benefit from his matchup -- the Suns have combined the league's 2nd-ranked pace of play with the 28th-ranked defensive efficiency to create one of the most fantasy-friendly environments possible for opponents. They've allowed the eighth-most FanDuel points to opposing shooting guards and have also allowed the highest three-point percentage.
Hardaway appears criminally underpriced considering these factors, but may carry lower ownership than he should as others chase the upside of flashier names at the position. He is a terrific option in all formats.
