Before he turned into a triple-double machine, Oscar Robertson was selected first overall by the Cincinnati Royals in the 1960 draft. That year, the 6'5" point guard produced 30.5 points, 10.1 rebounds and 9.7 assists per contest while shooting 47.3% from the field and 82.2% from the line.
That type of shooting led to Rookie of the Year honors along with a PER of 25.9 and a total of 13.2 win shares. Per 48 minutes, that was an average of .210 win shares for a team that won 33 of 79 games in the Big O's debut season.
