FanDuel Price: $9,600
REVENGE! Everyone will be talking about this game today, as the Sacramento Kings' day of reckoning has come. For the first time since shipping him away, they will be tasked with attempting to slow down DeMarcus Cousins.
Vegas sees this one going quite well for Cousins and the New Orleans Pelicans, listing them as 10.5-point favorites. Their 109.75-point implied team total is the sixth-highest on the slate and over five points above their season scoring average.
Albeit in a small sample size, Cousins has averaged a whopping 51.9 FanDuel points in five games the Pelicans have had an implied team total above 105, as opposed to 37.4 in all other games. Against a Sacramento team ranked 25th in rebounding rate and 28th in defensive efficiency, Cousins shouldn't struggle to reach the average he has maintained in similar game scripts.
In fact, only four other teams have allowed more FanDuel points to opposing centers than the Kings.
According to our projections, Cousins is easily the best value among the elite options on this slate -- no player priced above $8,000 has a higher value rating, which is very surprising for a player at his price tag. Really, an argument could be made that Cousins is grossly underpriced compared to some of the other studs.
For example, Cousins comes at a $1,600 discount from teammate Anthony Davis, despite averaging 58.9 FanDuel points in their past three games together, as opposed to Davis' 49-FanDuel-point average during those games. Cousins also has the third-highest ceiling on the slate, according to our Floor/Ceiling tool, despite being priced as the 10th-most expensive player on the slate.
