In 2005, head coach Mike D'Antoni stepped in to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 62-win season -- the team's first 60-win season since 1993. It wasn't just D'Antoni, though. Steve Nash, Amar'e Stoudemire, Shawn Marion and Joe Johnson made up a perfect cast for his high-powered, offense-heavy attack.

That year, the Suns ranked first in offensive efficiency and raced their way to a nERD of 73.2 behind the league's fastest pace. As for many teams before them, the Spurs stopped the Suns from reaching the Finals, defeating Phoenix 4-1 in the conference finals.
