In the 2005-06 season, the Washington Wizards went 42-40 and finished the year with a nERD of 54.4. According to defensive rating, they were the league's 22nd-ranked defense, but their offensive rating of 109.3 ranked 6th.

The offensive charge was led by the trio of Gilbert Arenas, Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler, as the three combined for 67.4 of their team's 101.7 points per game. It wasn't enough to get the Wiz out of the first round, though -- LeBron James' Cavaliers ousted them in six games.
