FanDuel Price: $2,600
Projected FanDuel Points: 18.2
Projected FanDuel Value: 7.00
Isaiah Canaan couldn't follow his impressive Game 4 performance, only putting up 13.4 FanDuel points in Game 5, but even that would eclipse five-times value at his price tag. While owners likely wanted more from him in that game, the fact that coach Fred Hoiberg felt confident to give him 36 minutes is a very encouraging sign.
Canaan has already been listed as the starter for tonight's game, so as long as Rajon Rondo doesn't come through with a miraculous recovery, Canaan should be looking at 30-plus minutes once again in one of the best matchups available. The Boston Celtics allowed the 11th-most FanDuel points to opposing point guards this season, and Isaiah Thomas ranked dead last among 468 players in defensive real plus-minus this season.
Canaan isn't a high usage player in a lineup that features Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade, so his upside is somewhat limited. However, he doesn't have to do much at all to reach value at this price, and rostering him opens up a lot of salary to chase after those high-usage players.
