3 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 5/4/17
Terry Rozier has stepped into a larger role for the Celtics and appears severely underpriced heading into Game 3. Which other low-cost players are worth checking out?

Joe Johnson, SF, Utah Jazz

FanDuel Price: $5,600
Projected FanDuel Points: 19.6
Projected FanDuel Value: 3.51

Joe Johnson trails only Gordon Hayward among Utah Jazz players in usage rate (23.2%) and shot attempts per game (13.1) during the playoffs. He played just 22 minutes in a Game 1 in which the Golden State Warriors won handily, but "Iso Joe" was still able to get up 10 shots and lead the starting unit in usage rate (25.7%).

If Utah is able to keep the game more competitive tonight, Johnson should continue to fill a large role and exceed value at his price tag.

In the first round, Johnson averaged 25.9 FanDuel points and 32 minutes of playing time, numbers that should be attainable against a Warriors team that plays at a much faster pace and allowed more FanDuel points to opposing power forwards in the regular season (the position Johnson started at in Game 1) than the Los Angeles Clippers did.

There's certainly some risk attached to rostering Johnson, as he's put up four games of less than 20 FanDuel points during the playoffs. His upside is worth a look at his salary, though, as he has proven he can be a difference-maker in tournaments.
