The 10 Best NBA Playoff Trios Since 2001
Where do the memorable Big Threes fall when looking at recent playoff history?

2) 2008-09 Orlando Magic

Lineup: Marcin Gortat, Rashard Lewis, Hedo Turkoglu

Net Rating: 33.5

Speaking of really good teams not to win a title, the '09 Orlando Magic are probably one of the more notable ones in recent years. When you think of this Finals runner-up, though, you probably first think of Dwight Howard.

Crazy enough, Marcin Gortat -- Howard's backup at the time -- joins two of the team's veteran standouts. The trio played in 23 of the team's 24 playoff games for a total of 162 minutes and 597 possessions. In that time, they made 9.6 more free throws on 10 more attempts per 100 possessions. That edge also carried over to the three-point line, where Lewis and Turkoglu did a lot of damage, with 5.2 more threes per 100.
