3 NBA DraftKings Studs to Target on 10/19/17
Brook Lopez has big upside in tonight's projected shootout against the Clippers and won't cost you as much as most studs.

Carmelo Anthony, SF/PF, Oklahoma City Thunder

DraftKings Salary: $7,200

Carmelo Anthony is a much better play on DraftKings today, where he has multi-position eligibility, comes at a discount, and fits the scoring system better. The fact that he rarely gets defensive stats isn't magnified on DraftKings like it is on FanDuel, while DraftKings rewards his willingness to chuck it from downtown with three-point bonuses.

Among all of the revenge narratives that have come up early in the young NBA season, perhaps none is as exciting as Melo against the New York Knicks. While some players downplay such things, that has not been the case leading up to this game. “There was no support from the organization,” Anthony said. “When you feel like you’re on your own, and then from the top you feel like you’re being pushed out.” Paul George also acknowledged the situation, saying “Melo wants this, as he should. Melo wants this game, and we’re going to go out and get it for him.”

Even if you don't want to get on board with the narrative, Anthony is just plain in a good spot against a New York squad that ranked 25th in defensive efficiency last season. He will see a dip in usage this year, but it may not come in this game.
