DraftKings Salary: $4,400
Wesley Johnson has been forced into a lot of playing time for the banged-up Los Angeles Clippers, averaging 34.5 minutes over his past five games. He played at least 40 minutes twice during that span and has averaged 29.4 DraftKings points. He needs just 22 DraftKings points to reach his salary-implied value at this price tag, which seems very attainable given his recent play.
Johnson should benefit from the uptempo nature of this game as well, as the Los Angeles Lakers have played at the league's third-fastest pace this season. As such, the Clippers have the sixth-highest implied team total on the board. Two of the teams with higher totals are the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors, who both carry significant blowout risk as heavy favorites.
Los Angeles is one of the best teams to target for value on this slate, and Johnson is in arguably the best spot of any starter. He'll be defended by Brandon Ingram, who has the length and athleticism to be a quality defender, but has graded out as one of the worst. He ranks 61st among small forwards in defensive real plus-minus this season after ranking 71st last year. At this price, Johnson is a strong play in any format.
