With a quick glance at his game logs, you'd see that Jordan Clarkson narrowly played more than 20 minutes off the Los Angeles Lakers' bench on Sunday, but context is everything. The Lakers were blown out 118-95 at the hands of the Houston Rockets, so a few players failed to see their usual allotment of minutes. That tells us we shouldn't put so much stock in Clarkson's previous outing. Instead, we would be better served looking at his four games prior, when he averaged 28.5 FanDuel points per game on 14.5 shots in 28.8 minutes of action.
On Thursday, Clarkson makes for an especially good play in tournaments. The optics of his poor performance on Sunday is going to scare people off, and it's actually also caused his price to drop by $800. The combination of the Philadelphia 76ers' weakness in defending shooting guards (21.3 points, 2.4 threes and 39.4 FanDuel points against per game) and the matchup's 221.5 over/under makes Clarkson a top-two point-per-dollar value at shooting guard.
