Dirk Nowitzki is fast approaching 40 years old. He's only playing 25 minutes a game and doesn't have the same takeover ability he once had in his prime. But lately, Dirk has been productive for the Dallas Mavericks. He's scored in double-digits four times en route to averaging 21.3 FanDuel points in his last six contests.
It's worth noting that two of those games were against the number-one and number-three ranked defenses (by defensive rating) in the Boston Celtics and San Antonio Spurs. So that fantasy output is even more encouraging when faced with a more uptempo, fantasy-friendly game against the Warriors tonight.
Ranked fifth in pace (101 possessions per 48 minutes), the Warriors are a team normally susceptible to the power forward spot. They allow an average of 45.9 FanDuel points to the position, and that's with Draymond Green as the usual starter at the four. Green's more than likely out on Thursday, which will mean some combination of Jordan Bell and David West in his place. No matter which it is -- youth or experience -- Nowitzki should be able to take advantage. He's our best value among all power forwards.
